To charge your tracker, follow these simple steps:

  • Open the protective charging port cover
  • Plug the USB-C cable into the charging port
  • Connect the other end of the cable to a power source

Your tracker features two LED bars, one at the top and one at the bottom. The bottom LED bar will gradually light up from left to right as the device charges. The tracker is fully charged when the entire LED bar is lit. A full charge takes around 2 hours.

Check

Once the tracker’s charged, or before you let your furry friend outside to explore, you might want to check if the tracker is connected to local cell networks (1) and is detecting GPS signals (2). To check this, press the power button on the device once for just one second. The LED will then illuminate, showing which connections the tracker currently has:

Attach

Tracker Clipping@2x.png

It's now time to attach the tracker to your dog’s collar.  The Tractive DOG 6 can be attached to collars and harnesses with a maximum width of 3cm*. Remove the collar from your dog then lay it on top of the rubber clip. Next, secure the tracker to the clip using the two hooks on each side (B).

If your dog wears a narrow collar, make sure to weave the collar through the holes in the center of the clip to ensure the tracker is secure (A).

*Additionally, if the provided clip doesn't fit your dog's collar, you may wish to consider purchasing a Fabric Clip. These clips come in two sizes: S (for collars up to 2.5cm), and L (for collars up to 5cm).
