Want to make your Tractive GPS tracker battery last longer? Just turn on Low Power Mode. Here’s what it does, and how to switch it on fast.
Low Power Mode is available on select Tractive tracker models. To see if your tracker has it, go to the Tractive mobile app and check if Low Power Mode appears for your device.
What is Low Power Mode?
Low Power Mode reduces how often your tracker updates your pet’s location, about every 30 to 60 minutes. This saves a lot of battery, but you might see less-accurate paths and delayed Virtual Fence alerts when this mode is on.
Turning on LIVE Tracking still gives you fast updates every 2-3 seconds, even if Low Power Mode is active.
How to tell if Low Power Mode is turned on
When Low Power Mode is on, the battery icon on your map will be orange instead of green. You will also see a message on the map saying that it’s on.
How to enable Low Power Mode in the Tractive app
You can do this in two places. Pick whichever works best for you.

- From the Tractive app, go to Map.
- In the top right corner, next to the battery icon, tap your tracker icon.
