If you’re not sure which email address you used to set up your Tractive account, don’t worry. It’s usually easy to sort out. Let’s walk through some steps to help you find the email connected to your Tractive account.
Why this happens
You might not remember which email you used for Tractive if:
- You have several email addresses and can’t remember which one you used.
- You signed up with Apple or Google and a different or masked email was created.
- Someone else purchased the tracker for you (as a gift, company pet, etc.).
How to fix it
Solution 1: Search your email inboxes
Many users quickly find their Tractive account email by checking their inbox for Tractive messages.
- Check all your email inboxes (work, personal, etc.) for messages from Tractive.
- Try searching for keywords like “Tractive,” “order confirmation,” or “subscription.”
- Don’t forget to check spam and promotions folders. Sometimes, confirmation emails end up there.
Did that work? Great! If not, keep going.
Solution 2: Try logging in with likely emails
Sometimes you can find the right one just by trying to log in.
- On the Tractive login, enter each email address you think you might have used.
- If you get an error saying the account isn’t found, try the next email address.
- If you need a password reset, click “Forgot password?” The email where you receive the reset link is the one linked to your account.

Solution 3: Check for a masked or social login email
If you used the Apple or Google options to create your Tractive account, a unique or masked email may have been created for your account.
For Apple sign-in:
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings.
- Select your Apple ID at the top, then Password & Security > Apps Using Apple ID.
- Find “Tractive” in the list and check which email is shown. If it ends with "@privaterelay.appleid.com," this is the unique, private email Apple created for your Tractive account.
If trying to log in: On the Tractive app or website, simply choose “Continue with Apple” on the login page. This signs you in without needing to remember the relay email.
If you need to verify your account, contact support, or have order questions: Note down the Apple relay email address you found (xxxx@privaterelay.appleid.com). You might need to share this with the Customer Support team for account verification or order-related queries.
For Google login:
- If you know you signed up with Google before, try searching your Gmail/Google for Tractive account sign-up emails or order confirmations.
- Double-check your inboxes for confirmation emails and look for which authentication/login method was used.
Important: If you’re not sure if you created your account with a social login, don’t use “Continue with Google” just to check. This will create a new, empty Tractive account that’s not connected to your tracker or subscription.
