Need to use your existing subscription with a different tracker in your account? Here's how to transfer it in just a few steps.
When to transfer your subscription
You might need to transfer or link your existing subscription to a new tracker if:
- Your original tracker was lost and you bought a new one
- Your tracker broke and you bought a replacement
- You received a warranty replacement for a faulty tracker
- You purchased or upgraded to a new tracker model
Only one tracker can be linked to a subscription at a time. If you have multiple pets, each one needs their own tracker and separate subscription.
Important to know: Transferring to another tracker won’t refund your subscription.
Before you start
Check feature compatibility: Some features are tied to tracker models, not subscriptions. This means you can transfer any subscription (Basic or Premium) to any tracker, but you'll only be able to use features that your specific tracker model or pet profile supports.
For example:
- Bark Monitoring is only available on DOG 6 trackers.
- Separation Anxiety Monitoring only works with dog profiles.
- If you transfer your subscription from a DOG 6 to a DOG XL, you won't have access to DOG 6-specific
- features anymore.

Steps to transfer your subscription
The process is the same for all tracker models (DOG, CAT, DOG XL, etc.), subscriptions (Basic or Premium), and pet profiles (dog or cat).
Step 1: Start the transfer
This process moves your active subscription from one tracker to another tracker within your Tractive account.
- Log in to my.tractive.com or the Tractive mobile app.
- Visit Transfer subscription plan.
- Select the tracker that currently has your subscription.
- Enter the tracker ID where you want to move your subscription.

Step 2: Refresh your account
This isn’t necessary, but in case you don’t see the new tracker in your account:
- In the Tractive app, go to Account > Sign Out.
- Sign back in to the same account.
You're all set!
Your subscription is now active on your new tracker.
What gets transferred with your subscription
When you transfer your subscription to a new tracker, these settings automatically move over:
- Pet profile
- Power Saving Zones
- Virtual Fences
- Home Location
- Family Shares
