LIVE Tracking gives you fast, real-time updates on your pet’s location, so you always know where they are when it matters most.
What is LIVE Tracking?
Compared to default tracking which updates your pet’s position every 2-60 minutes depending on their activity, LIVE Tracking updates your pet’s location every 2-3 seconds. This is especially important when you need to know your pet’s exact location.
LIVE Tracking increases battery consumption, so limit using it to when it’s really important to conserve battery life.
Activate LIVE Tracking
From the Tractive mobile app, go to Map and select
LIVE. If you don’t see it, tap the arrow up icon on the lower corner of the map.
The LIVE button isn’t working
If you have our latest dog or cat tracker and have set up a Power Saving Zone, you can only activate LIVE tracking if the tracker is within Bluetooth range of your mobile device.

LIVE Tracking duration
By default, LIVE Tracking ends after five (5) minutes to save battery life. To continue LIVE Tracking, select Continue LIVE.
If you’d like to change the default LIVE Tracking duration, here’s how:
- From Map, select your tracker icon on the top corner of the screen.
- Go to LIVE Tracking Duration.
- Select any of the options and Confirm.
