Change the Map Type

In the Tractive GPS app, there are three map types you can use to view and track your pets! You can change the map type by following the steps below.

  1. Open the Tractive GPS mobile app and in the Map view, click on the Map Settings button imageedit_4_9669182739.gif
  2. You can now choose between the Standard, Satellite, and OSM (Open Street Map) maps.

Minimize the Bottom Bar on the Map

The bottom bar of your map screen can be swiped up and down to view further settings at any time (in both default and LIVE Tracking mode). It can also be fully minimized if you wish to view the map in its entirety.

If fully minimized, you'll see a blue arrow in the bottom right corner: LIVE_tracking-1 2-modified.png

Simply tap this button and the bottom bar will reappear.

FAQs

What does the sleep icon on the map indicate?

The sleep icon (Zzz) is a heads-up that your tracker hasn't picked up any movement in the last 15 minutes, suggesting that your pet is probably resting at this time.

As soon as the tracker detects movement again, it will update its position as normal.

You can still start LIVE Tracking whenever you need it, but keep in mind that LIVE Tracking works best when your tracker is outdoors with a clear line of sight to the sky.
