Basic plan
Monthly payment for a Basic plan is available in select countries. To see if monthly Basic is available where you live, check our Plans and Pricing page.
Two availability requirements:
- Basic subscription must be available in your country
- Monthly billing must be available in your country
Both aren't available everywhere, so check the Plans and Pricing page to see what's offered in your region.
Premium plan
Monthly payment is not currently available for Premium. Premium is offered with yearly, two-year, or five-year billing only.
If you're on a monthly Basic plan and want to upgrade to Premium, you'll need to switch to yearly or longer billing. Learn how to upgrade to Premium.

How to activate a monthly subscription
If you're new to Tractive
When activating your tracker for the first time:
- Download the Tractive mobile app for Android or iOS.
- Create your account and enter your tracker ID (the 8 letters on the back of your tracker).
- Select your country and tap Advanced activation to see all plan options.
- Choose Basic, then select the Monthly payment option.
- Complete payment and activation.
If you're an existing user
Adding a new tracker with a monthly plan:
- In the Tractive mobile app, go to
Account
Trackers .
- Select
Add Tracker and enter your tracker ID.
- Select Get New Plan.
- Select your country, and go to Advanced activation to see all plan options.
- Choose Basic, then select the Monthly payment option.
- Complete payment and activation.
Already have an active subscription? If you want to change your existing subscription's billing interval, you'll need to wait until your current subscription expires, then choose a new billing interval when you renew.
Important to know
Monthly plans renew automatically. Like all Tractive subscriptions, monthly plans auto-renew each month. If you need a break from tracking, you can pause your subscription for up to eight months.
Basic isn't available everywhere. Basic subscription (including monthly payment) is only available in selected countries. Check our Plans and Pricing page to see if it's available where you live.
Premium doesn't offer monthly payment. If you need Premium features (worldwide coverage, 365-day history, Family Sharing), you'll need to choose yearly or longer billing.
Monthly payment = monthly billing cycle. Your payment is charged every month on the same date you activated. You can cancel anytime.
Longer plans save money. Yearly, two-year, and five-year plans typically cost less per month than monthly plans. Compare pricing to see which option works best for you.
