How can I redeem my free tracker?

Tap "Redeem Your Offer Now" and enter the 9-digit serial number on the backside of your Fressnapf tracker. Choose your Smart Dog or Cat Tracker, valued at €49-79 depending on the device, and pick a 1-, 2- or 5-year subscription plan. Start tracking as soon as your tracker arrives.

 

Do I need to switch to a Tractive device, or can I keep using my Fressnapf device?

Since Fressnapf is retiring its GPS tracker service on December 31, 2027, you will only be able to continue using your Fressnapf device until the end of the year 2027. That's why Fressnapf is cooperating with Tractive to be able to make a special offer to its customers. It is recommended to make the switch to Tractive now to make sure that you can seamlessly continue tracking your pet. The special offer is only available until July 8, 2026. Don't miss this opportunity to ensure a smooth transition. Accepting the offer is not mandatory; you are not forced to change to a Tractive device.

 

Where can I find the serial number of my Fressnapf device?

The easiest way to find your Fressnapf tracker's serial number is to check the back side of your tracker. The serial number should consist of 9 numbers.

Is the tracker really free?

Yes. For a limited time, active Fressnapf tracker customers have the unique opportunity to get a free Tractive Smart Dog Tracker or Smart Cat Tracker when activating it with a 1-year (or longer) subscription. This offer is exclusive to current Fressnapf tracker customers, as Fressnapf will end its GPS tracking service by December 31st, 2027. Additionally, Tractive will transfer any remaining Fressnapf service period to your new Tractive plan.

 

Do I need to have a subscription?

Yes, we require all our customers to have a subscription as it covers network costs and enables you to track your pet worldwide. How long is the offer valid?

This offer is valid until July 8, 2026, so make sure to claim it before then.

 

How long does the shipping of my new Tractive device once I have completed the order?

In Europe, you should usually receive your Tractive device within 2 to 8 business days after you complete your order.

Please note that some models may only be available for preorder. You will see the estimated shipping date on the checkout page.

 

Will Fressnapf accessories (like chargers) work with Tractive devices?

Fressnapf accessories, such as chargers, are not compatible with Tractive devices. But don’t worry. When your Tractive device arrives, it’ll come with a charger and a clip to easily attach it to your pet's existing collar.

 

Can I choose the Tractive device that’s best for my pet?

What happens to the remaining service period on my Fressnapf tracker?

Tractive will fully honor the remaining time on your Fressnapf device if you decide to take the offer and claim your free Tractive tracker with a subscription now. Any unused months from your Fressnapf service period will be automatically added to your new Tractive subscription, so you won’t lose any time you've already paid for. Redeem your offer here.

 

Do I have to pay for my new Tractive device/subscription?

The brand new Tractive device is free for all Fressnapf tracker customers. But to receive it, you’ll need to subscribe to a 1-year or longer Tractive plan. See the most up-to-date pricing and plan details at tractive.com/plans.

 

What do I need to pay in the end?

You pay only for your Tractive subscription on a 1-, 2-, or 5-year plan.  Plus, any remaining Fressnapf tracker service period you have will be added on top at no extra cost. Your subscription covers the tracker’s built-in SIM and data for GPS & Health Monitoring.

Monthly plans aren’t available for this offer, but Tractive offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

 

What is Tractive Care?

Tractive Care offers peace of mind by providing a replacement for your Tractive device if it is lost, stolen, or damaged. Tractive Care can be added to all available subscription plans during the activation process.

 

Can I continue using my Fressnapf tracker despite having purchased a Tractive subscription?

The possibility to use your Fressnapf tracker is guaranteed until your new Tractive tracker is fully activated.

As soon as you have made sure that your new Tractive device is functioning correctly, you can easily delete your Fressnapf tracker in the tracker app. To do so, please go to “Settings” and select “Delete tracker”. You can then decide if you want to delete the tracker “on one device” or “on multiple devices”.

 

Will there be any extra fees charged by Fressnapf? 

No, Fressnapf will not charge you any additional fees. Your unused service time will be automatically added to your new Tractive subscription without any extra payment. 

We encourage you to take advantage of Tractive’s special offer as it’s only valid until July 8, 2026. Get your free Tractive and keep any remaining Fressnapf service period on top of your new Tractive plan.

 

Which payment methods does Tractive offer?

Does Tractive offer the same features as my Fressnapf device?

Will the Tractive GPS tracker work in my area?

The Tractive mobile app is compatible with devices that meet the following:

  • iPhone and iPad with iOS/iPadOS 17 or above
  • Android devices with operating system 10.0 and above (Play Protect certified)

 

Will my Fressnapf login credentials work on Tractive’s app?

No. Your Fressnapf login credentials won’t work with the Tractive app because your data stays with Fressnapf. You’ll need to create a new account with Tractive. Claim your free Tractive device and Tractive will walk you through the process step-by-step.

 


Account, privacy & data

 

Will the data from my Fressnapf device carry over to Tractive?

No, there will be no data exchange between Fressnapf and Tractive. Any personal data and data collected for your pet remains with Fressnapf. 

 

How will the transition to Tractive affect my data and privacy?

Protecting your data is our top priority. When you transition to Tractive, you'll need to create a new account and you will be asked to review and accept Tractive’s Privacy Policy  and Terms of Service. By accepting the offer, you agree to these terms, ensuring that you’re fully informed about how your data will be handled and the conditions that apply to your new subscription. All operations will be conducted securely and in compliance with local laws and regulations.

 

Will Tractive share or sell my information to third parties?

No. Tractive will never sell your personal information to third parties without your prior approval. Tractive takes your privacy seriously and is committed to protecting your data.

Tractive only uses your information to provide and improve their services, and may share data only when necessary, such as with trusted service providers who help Tractive operate their platform. These partners are strictly bound by privacy agreements and can only use your data to support Tractive’s services.

Return & warranty

 

Will my existing Fressnapf device warranty still be valid under Tractive?

No. Your Fressnapf device warranty won’t carry over to Tractive.

However, your new Tractive device will have its own warranty, so you’ll still be covered moving forward. See the article What is the Tractive Warranty? for details.

 

Can I return my Tractive device if I am not satisfied?

Each pet is unique, and Tractive understands if yours just doesn’t get along with the tracker. For this reason, Tractive has a 30-day return period. To cancel, please complete the return form here and send your free Tractive device back to us. Once Tractive receives the tracker, they will refund your subscription. 

 

How should I dispose of my Fressnapf tracker?

Your Fressnapf tracker should be disposed of as electronic waste. Please follow your local municipality’s guidelines for proper electronic device disposal or recycling.
