Your tracker's LED lights show you important information about network connection, GPS status, battery level, and charging port condition. Here's what each light color and pattern means.

What the LED colors mean
Network and GPS status (all models)
Press the power button once to check your tracker's connection status:

What to do when the red lights persist:
- If the network (left light or first blink) is red, see My tracker shows “Offline” in the Tractive app for help.
- If GPS (right light or second blink) is red, see Tracker not updating location or says "No GPS" in the Tractive app for things you can try.
Battery level (two-LED models only)
Applies to: DOG 6, DOG 6 Mini, DOG 6 XL, DOG 6 XL Adventure, and CAT 6 Mini
Press the power button once to check the battery level. How full the LED strip lights up indicates how much battery is left.

Water in charging port (two-LED models only)
Applies to: DOG 6, DOG 6 Mini, DOG 6 XL, DOG 6 XL Adventure, and CAT 6 Mini
Both LEDs light up blue when moisture is detected in the charging port.
What to do:
- Don't charge yet. Charging with a wet port can damage your tracker.
- Dry the charging port. Gently wipe with a lint-free cloth to remove as much moisture as you can.
- Wait before charging. Let it air dry for 24 hours before charging again before plugging in the charger.
- Close the charging port cover to prevent water from getting in.
While charging (one-LED models only)
When your tracker is charging:

| 🔴 red | A steady red light means it's charging. |
| 🟢 green | A steady green light means the battery is full. |
| LED off | The light turns off once fully charged for older tracker models. |
Troubleshooting tracker LED lights
No lights when pressing power button
What it means: Your tracker's battery is completely dead.
What to do:
- Charge your tracker immediately.
- Wait 10-15 minutes for enough power to turn on.
- Check the LED status again after charging.
Blue lights (water detected)
What it means: There's moisture in the charging port.
What to do:
- Don't attempt to charge.
- Dry the charging port and air dry for 24 hours before charging.
- Ensure the charging port is covered properly when not charging.
LEDs show colors not listed here
Different tracker models may have slightly different LED patterns. The general rule is: green = good, red = problem, blue = water detected.

Important to know
Two-LED features are model-specific. Only DOG 6, DOG 6 Mini, DOG 6 XL, DOG 6 XL Adventure, and CAT 6 Mini have two LEDs with water detection and battery level indicators.
Blue LEDs = moisture. If both the LEDs are blue, there's moisture in the charging port. Dry it completely before charging to avoid damage.
LED status is current only. LED lights show status at the moment you check. Status can change as your tracker moves to areas with different GPS or network coverage.
Green is good, red needs action. This general guideline applies to all LED status checks.
