The Light feature on your Tractive tracker helps keep your pet visible, especially during night walks or in low-light conditions. Turning the light on makes it easier for you (and others) to spot your furry friend at a distance and adds an extra safety boost for evening adventures.
Why should I use the Light feature?
Having your Tractive tracker’s light switched on can make a big difference:
- Makes your pet more visible to you during night or foggy walks
- Helps keep your pet safe around cars, cyclists, or other people
- Lets you find your pet more easily if they’re off-leash or hiding nearby
How to turn the light on and off
Using the Tractive mobile app
- In the Tractive mobile app, go to Map.
- Swipe up on the bottom bar to show more options.
- Tap Light to turn on the LED light.
- To turn it off, tap Light again.
For most of our trackers with LED, unless you turn it off, the light stays on for 15 minutes, then turns off automatically.
For newer models like the DOG 6 and XL, the light will stay on for 1 hour before automatically turning off.
Using the DOG 6 button
If you have the Tractive DOG 6, you can activate the light right from the tracker.
- On your DOG 6 tracker, look for the button on the side. See the image below for where the button is (on/off button).
- To turn the light on, double-press the button quickly.
- To turn the light off, press the button once.
