Want to let family or friends track your pet? With Family Sharing, you can give them access to see your pet's location and use tracking features from their own Tractive app.
Family Sharing requires a Premium subscription.
Looking for something else? If you need to share your pet's location with people who don't have a Tractive account (like when your pet is lost), use Public Sharing instead.
Before you start
What you'll need:
Premium subscription
What they need:
- A Tractive account (free to create)
- The Tractive mobile app installed
The person you're sharing with doesn't need their own Premium subscription. They can view your shared tracker for free.
How to share your tracker
Step 1: Send invitations
- In the Tractive app, go to your pet's Profile.
- Go to Family Members > Send Invite.
- Select an app or contact to send the invite, or copy the text to manually send it.
Step 2: They accept the invitation
The person you invited needs to:
- Open the link in the invitation message.
- Sign in to their Tractive account (or create one if they don't have one yet).
- Your pet will now appear in their app.
You're all set!
The person can now see your pet's location and use tracking features from their own Tractive app. They'll see your pet listed alongside any pets they might have.

How to see who has access
To view everyone who can see your tracker:
- In the Tractive app, go to your pet's Profile.
- Go to Family Members > Send Invite.
- You'll see a list of everyone with access.
How to remove someone's access
- In the Tractive app, go to your pet's Profile.
- Go to Family Members and find the person you’d like to remove.
- Next to their name, tap Remove.
- Tap Remove again to confirm.
What happens: The person (or people) will no longer see your pet in their app. They won't be notified that access was removed.
Important to know
You stay in control. You can add or remove people anytime. Only you can change tracker settings like Virtual Fences and Power Saving Zones.
Family members see your pet in their app. Your pet appears in their account and they can see you as the owner from the Family Members screen.
They can leave anytime. Family members can choose to stop viewing your shared tracker from their own app if they want.
