Where to manage your subscription
You'll need to use my.tractive.com (not the mobile app) to change your subscription plan.
When changes take effect
- Upgrading to Premium: Takes effect immediately. You'll be charged a prorated amount for the upgrade.
- Downgrading to Basic: Takes effect at your next renewal date. You keep Premium features until then.
The Basic subscription is available in selected countries. Check our Plans and Pricing page to see if Basic is available where you live.

Upgrading to Premium
Want access to worldwide coverage, 365-day location history, and Family Sharing? Here's how to upgrade.
Steps
- Go to my.tractive.com and log in to your account.
- Select Manage your Account.
- Go to Trackers & Subscription Plans.
- Choose the tracker you want to upgrade.
- Select Subscription Plan > Upgrade to Premium.
- Review the Premium features and pricing.
- Confirm your upgrade.
You’re all set!
Your upgrade to Premium is active immediately. You’ll have access to all Premium features, including worldwide coverage, 365-day location history, and Public & Family Sharing.
About billing: You'll be charged a prorated amount for the upgrade based on your remaining subscription time. At your next renewal, you'll be billed for the full Premium plan price.
If you're on a monthly plan, you'll need to change to yearly or biennial billing before upgrading to Premium. Monthly Premium plans aren't currently available.
Downgrading to Basic
Want to save money and only need basic tracking features? Here's how to downgrade.
Tip: Not sure if you need tracking right now? You can pause your subscription for up to eight months to take a break.
Before you downgrade
What you’ll lose with Basic:
- Worldwide coverage (Basic only works in one country)
- 365-day location history (you'll only see the last 24 hours)
- Public and Family Sharing
- Location history export

Steps
- Go to my.tractive.com and log in to your account.
- Select Manage your Account.
- Go to Trackers & Subscription Plans.
- Choose the tracker you want to downgrade.
- Select Subscription Plan > Manage Subscription Plan.
- Toggle from Premium to Basic.
- Select which Basic plan you want (if monthly plans are available in your country).
- Review the plan change details.
- Confirm your downgrade.
You'll see when the plan change will take effect and what your new subscription price will be.
You’re all set!
Your downgrade is scheduled. You'll continue enjoying Premium features until your next renewal date. After that, your subscription will switch to Basic and you'll be billed for the Basic plan price.
Important to know
When upgrades take effect: Immediately. You get Premium features right away and pay a prorated amount.
When downgrades take effect: At your next renewal date. You keep Premium features until then.
Basic isn't available everywhere: Basic subscription is only available in selected countries. If you don't see Basic as an option, it's not available in your country yet. Check our Plans and Pricing page for availability.
Monthly plans may not be available: Monthly Basic plans aren't available in all countries. You may only see yearly or longer plan options.
Your location history is safe: If you downgrade from Premium to Basic, your full 365-day location history is still saved. You'll only be able to view the last 24 hours while on Basic, but if you upgrade back to Premium later, you'll regain access to your full history.
Can't see the change option? Make sure you're managing your subscription from my.tractive.com, not the mobile app. If you still don't see the option, contact our support team.
Need a break instead? If you're thinking about downgrading to save money but might want Premium again later, consider pausing your subscription instead. You can pause for up to eight months without losing your plan.
