Why do I have to register / login to use Tractive MOTION? |

How do I attach the Tractive MOTION to my pet? |
Simply attach Tractive MOTION to your pets collar or harness. The included accessory clip is suitable for collars up to 30 mm wide and with a thickness between 1-4 mm. The clip is made of soft silicon and is comfortable to wear. |

What happens if the MOTION device comes into contact with water? |
Tractive MOTION is absolutely waterproof according to IPX8 standard. As a result, the Tractive MOTION device is suitable for water-loving pets and can also be used in the rain. |
Battery & Charging
How long does the MOTION battery last? |
The battery life lasts up to seven days. The battery life is influenced by different factors, such as the activity level of your pet, temperature and the age of the device. |
How do I charge the Tractive MOTION device? |
The Tractive MOTION can be charged via any USB power adapter like a smartphone charger, or through the USB ports of your computer. Simply remove the accessory clip of the Tractive MOTION device and use the USB charging cable to charge the Tractive MOTION device. While the battery is being charged, the display shows the battery symbol and provides information about the charging progress. The battery will be displayed as full when charging is complete. A typical charging cycle takes less than 2 hours. Please make sure the charging pins are clean before charging. |
Can I charge the Tractive MOTION without a computer? |
Yes, using a regular USB power adapter such as a smartphone charger. |

Which data does Tractive MOTION collect? |
Tractive MOTION tracks your pets motions, including how much and when he or she moves. Additionally, the device captures the ambient temperature as well as the ambient light of the area the pet is in at a given point. The correlations can lead to very interesting findings! |
How long is activity data stored in the Tractive MOTION? |
Tractive MOTION has enough memory to store your pet's activity data for an entire week. |
What are Pet Points? |
Pet Points represent the activity of your pet and its daily goal. The more your pet moves, the more Pet Points he or she earns. Depending on the intensity of the movement, the activity level is categorized as "resting", "active" or "dynamic". |

How do I pair the Tractive MOTION device with a pet? |
When opening the app the first time, the pairing process starts automatically. Follow the instructions of the Tractive MOTION app. To add another pet, select the menu item "+" or "Add". |
My pet already exists in another Tractive app, do I need to create it again? |
No, when completing the pairing process you will be shown a list of all your pets that already have an account and are not connected to a Tractive MOTION device. You can choose a pet from the list or create a new pet. |
How do I know if my Tractive MOTION device is connected to my pet? |
In the menu, click on the 'i' icon, then on 'Details'. There you can see which pet is connected to the MOTION device. |
I have several Tractive MOTION devices. How do I know which device is paired with a specific pet? |
In the menu, click on the 'i' icon, then on 'MOTION'. There you can see the button "Identify MOTION". After pressing the button the name of the paired pet will be shown on the display of the Tractive MOTION device. The process of identification can take some time. Please note that the Tractive MOTION device has to be close to your smartphone to be identified. |
How can I remove the Tractive MOTION from a pet? |
The Tractive MOTION device can be disconnected from your pet by pressing the "Remove MOTION" button, which you can find on the detail page of your Tractive MOTION device. (In the menu, click on the 'i' icon, then on 'MOTION'.) Reset your Tractive MOTION device to shipping mode before pairing it with a new pet. |
Multiple Pets
Can I use one Tractive MOTION device for multiple pets? |
The Tractive MOTION device can only be paired with one pet. But you can remove the motion from one pet and pair it to another pet. |
Can I manage multiple pets with Tractive MOTION devices in the app? |

When does Tractive MOTION sync with the app? |
The Tractive MOTION app syncs the activity data of your pet every time you open the app automatically in the background. You can also start the synchronization manually. |
