Reset your Tractive GPS Tracker

In case you experience any kind of troubles (e.g. connectivity issues) with your Tractive GPS device you can try to perform a hardware reset of your device.

A hardware reset forces the device to re-initialize all the hardware components, which can fix the issue.

Please be aware that the following procedure is resetting your device to factory defaults. This will delete activity data (GPS 2) which has not been synced and Virtual Fences from the device.

Please select your Tractive GPS device from the list below and follow the instructions to reset your device to factory settings.

  • Fully charge the device
  • Simply press the button for 30 seconds: A successful reset should then be triggered and followed by a flashing light and beeping sound.
  • Go outside and wait 5 minutes for the device to get a GSM connection and a GPS fix.

  • Fully charge the device
  • Press the small reset button on the back of the device. Use an object with a small tip, such as a pen. This will also turn the device off.
  • Turn the device back on with the power button
  • Go outside and wait 5 minutes for the device to get a GSM connection and a GPS fix.

  • Go outside and wait 5 minutes for the device to get a GSM connection and a GPS fix.

  • Simply press the button for 30 seconds: A successful reset should then be triggered and followed by a flashing light and beeping sound.
  • Go outside and wait 5 minutes for the device to get a GSM connection and a GPS fix.
