How do I restart / reset my Tractive GPS Tracker?

To hard reset your Tractive GPS, please do the following:

  1. Make sure that the device is powered on and has at least 10% battery remaining. Check the current battery level in the mobile app under the Profile tab.
  2. Press and hold the main power button for 30 seconds. A successful reset will be indicated by a flashing white light and beeping sound.

Check your Network / GPS Connection

Once the reset is complete, check your network and GPS connection to ensure that the device is back online.

To do this, go outside, wait a few minutes, then press the power button for one second. The LED status of the device will be shown. With two green lights - you're ready to start tracking! 

If the first light is red - your device has no network connection.  If the second light is red - your device has no GPS connection.

Reset the Tractive GPS 2

  1. Make sure that the device is powered on and has at least 10% battery remaining. Check the current battery level in the mobile app under the Profile tab.
  2. Press the small reset button on the back of the device. Use an object with a small tip, such as a pen. This will also turn the device off.

Lastly, turn the device back on with the power button and follow the steps above to check the network / GPS status of the device.
