I am not receiving notifications (e.g. Safe Zone alerts) - What can I do?

In case you are having trouble receiving push notifications on your smartphone, please follow the instructions below.

General Troubleshooting

In order to receive Push notifications on your smartphone you need to activate them first at http://my.tractive.com/#/notifications
Tick the check marks to enable notifications you want to receive on your smartphone.

For further troubleshooting please select the device you're using:

Check if your device is receiving notifications

  • Open the Tractive GPS app
  • Open the sidebar

  • Tap your name or profile picture for app configuration settings

  • You can test if your device is ready to receive push notifications with the "Test" button

  • In case the test was successful you will receive the following message and you should receive notifications

If the test fails proceed as followed:

  • Go to your System Settings
  • Make sure that you have not enabled the battery saving mode
    It disables push notifications!
  • Scroll down and search for Tractive GPS in the list:

  • Further navigate to the notification menu

  • Make sure that you have activated all notifications for the Tractive GPS app there

  • Perform another notification check in your Tractive GPS App
  • Contact our Service Team in case you're still experience troubles

Check if your device is receiving notifications

  • Open the Tractive GPS app
  • Open the sidebar

  • Select "Settings" in the list

  • You can test if your device is ready to receive push notifications with the "Test" button

  • In case the test was successful you will receive the following message and you should receive notifications

  • It is possible that your App will update its push tokens and retry another test afterwards automatically:

If the test fails proceed as followed:

  • Go to your System Settings
  • Make sure that you have not enabled a battery saving mode
    It disables push notifications!
  • Make also sure that you have not activated any battery optimization settings

  • Make sure that you have not disabled notifications for the Tractive GPS App
  • Go to your System preferences -> Apps and look for Tractive GPS

  • Under "Notifications" you can see detailed information and can allow notifications in case you have disabled them

  • Perform another notification check in your Tractive GPS App
